The project
A private test, built in the open
Project Sol is a fan-made, community-run server for Destiny 2. It runs on our own dedicated server.
Today it is a private, invite-only test and only part of the game works: EDZ patrol, lost sectors, and early public event and Crucible tests. What the team hopes to build later is on the roadmap, and none of it is available yet.
How it works
The server. Sol runs its own dedicated game server, built on the open-source Project Sunrise work and extended by the Sol team. Missions, patrol zones, public events and loot are driven by server-side scripts.
The launcher. The launcher is not public and there are no downloads. Access is by invite only; test windows are announced in the news.
Your account. One Sol account signs in to the game and to this website, where you can see your characters, friends and inventory.
The tools. The team uses its own studio to build and test missions and encounters.
Invited to the test?
Sign in with your Sol account to see your characters, friends and inventory. Access is invite-only for now.
